Project 4 - Save The Arts

When it comes to project 4 I decided to go with a simple approach to my poster design. I wanted it to be very simplistic because I feel like most of my designs prior have been a bit more eccentric. For my final 3 posters I decided to go with the four women dancing, singing, and painting. I wanted to embrace women in the arts so I created a campaign that works cohesively together to highlight women and all of the amazing things that we can accomplish in the arts. I decided to change the silhouette of the woman from white to black on my final poster design. This design came from the feedback of my peers. They mentioned there was quite a bit of blank space so I thought I could better utilize the space by moving the four women up on the page and making them a bit larger in size. I also took a color that was used within the poster design and changed the font color of each call to action to this color and placed it over top of the women's silhouettes to create more of a hierarchy on the poster and to further gain the attention of the viewer. This then gave me the idea to add a bit more to the bottom of the poster and this is where I decided to include www.Womeninthearts.com as well as the words donate, support, inspire.
